What These Sites Collect

The PeopleConnect network aggregates:

• Personal identifiers: Full name, aliases, date of birth, age
• Contact information: Phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses
• Location history: Current and past addresses, sometimes going back 20+ years
• Family connections: Relatives, associates, household members
• Public records: Court filings, criminal records, bankruptcies
• Property data: Home ownership, property values, mortgage information
• Social connections: Classmates.com data, school attendance history
• Professional info: Employment history, business registrations

Step-by-Step Opt-Out Process

Step 1: Go to the PeopleConnect Suppression Center

Navigate to the centralized opt-out portal:

Step 2: Create an Account

1. Enter your email address
2. Agree to the Terms and Conditions
3. Click "Submit"

Step 3: Verify Your Email

1. Check your inbox for a confirmation email from PeopleConnect
2. Click the "VERIFY EMAIL" button in the email
3. You'll be redirected to the suppression center dashboard

Step 4: Enter Your Information

In the dashboard, fill in the fields to help them locate your records:

• Date of birth
• First name, middle name, and last name
• Email addresses (all that might be associated with you)
• Phone numbers (current and past)
• Locations (current and previous addresses)

Click "Save" when complete.

Step 5: Access Suppression Settings

1. Click on the "Suppression Setting" tab in the top-right corner
2. The system will search for your records across all PeopleConnect sites
3. A list of profiles associated with your information will appear

Step 6: Select and Opt-Out

1. Review the records found
2. Select the record(s) you want removed
3. Click "Opt-out"

Repeat for any additional profiles found.

Step 7: Wait for Processing

Your opt-out request should be processed within 72 hours. After that time, verify removal by searching for yourself on Intelius, TruthFinder, and other network sites.

Suppression vs. Deletion

PeopleConnect offers two options:

Suppression (Recommended for Most People)

What it does: Hides your profile from public searches. Your data technically remains in their system but is not displayed to searchers.

Pros: Faster, maintains the suppression setting for future data that matches your profile.

Full Deletion

What it does: Completely removes your data from their databases.

Important warning: PeopleConnect states that deleting your data also deletes your suppressions. This means if they collect new data about you later, it won't be automatically suppressed.

To request full deletion:

1. Go to suppression.peopleconnect.us/privacy-center
2. Scroll to the "Right to Delete" section
3. Follow the prompts to request complete deletion

For most people, suppression is the better choice because it provides ongoing protection against new data.

• Subject: "Data Removal Request"
• Your full name
• Date of birth
• Current and previous addresses
• Request: "Please remove all my personal information from Intelius and all PeopleConnect affiliated sites"

By Phone

Call 1-888-245-1655 during business hours. Be prepared to verify your identity.

Even with a successful PeopleConnect opt-out, you still need to separately remove yourself from:

Troubleshooting

Verification Email Never Arrived

• Check spam/junk folders
• Wait 15 minutes and check again
• Try with a different email address
• Contact [email protected]

No Records Found

• Try different name variations (maiden name, nicknames)
• Add more locations (previous addresses)
• Include additional phone numbers or emails
• Search directly on Intelius.com to find your profile, then add that information

Still Visible After 72 Hours

• Log back into the Suppression Center and verify your opt-out was processed
• Clear browser cache and check from incognito mode
• Email [email protected] with your original confirmation
• Request manual removal

California Residents: CCPA Request

If you're a California resident, you can submit a formal deletion request with legal weight:

"Pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.105, I am exercising my right to deletion. Please delete all personal information you have collected about me from Intelius and all PeopleConnect affiliated sites, and confirm deletion within 45 days as required by law."
